Fine & Performing Arts PreK-8th
Belmont-Cragin School is a Fine and Performing Arts Magnet Cluster School. In addition to our offerings such as general music and visual art, students have the freedom to participate in arts electives that bring them together from different grades into the same classroom. These optional classes give our students the power to pursue areas of learning in the Fine Arts that align with their individual interests and that they consider worthwhile and meaningful. Students have the opportunity to learn to sing in a choral ensemble, performing in our Drama Ensemble, Set Design Club, and the Dance Ensemble. All of these activities require periodic performances or presentations during which the students are given the chance to share their hard work with the school community. In the course of their preparation for these performances, students learn the importance of discipline, commitment, cultural diversity, and teamwork.
